ok just started using thunderbird e mail i now want to move all my exsisting e mails and address books and folders from one computer to another ,how do i do this ?

If you're talking Thunderbird to Thundeebird then Mozbackup is your easiest bet.

Mozbackup is the common one. If you need to transfer between browser / email apps which don't support each others formats, here's another:-

It's not as simple, but it does transfer between e.g Outlook Express and Thunderbird, albeit with some "head scratching" (at least for me).

If you go to the home page of the link I posted above, and scroll to the bottom, it appears there is some support.

I don't know enough about Linux to decide if it's useful.
