Hi there guys,

I picked up a modem with the Infinite frmware on it.

I had connected my laptop to it via network cable, the cbale feed to modem & power.

I was using the Ambit Config tool, tried to connect using the inbuilt CM terminal.

I wanted to set up the download frequency, had tried to telnet from the 'Run' command on PC, but would not allow access that way.

When I nest tried theAmbit config tool CM terminal, it came back with an error.

Tired again, said something abut 'please stop, don't make me call the cops...'

Tried again, thinking this was I jokey thing on Ambit config tool

Got message 'My IP being reported to my ISP'

Anyone know what this message is about?

As the cloned modem is not working yet, how can any 'report' be sent back to ISP?

I don't want to try messing again till I understand what's goin on (already have a Dreambox set up for the tv)

any help appeciated
