ive just downgraded my mobile contract to 30 quid amonth from 40 and i dont bother about the minutes droppin with its dropped from 1gb to 500mb for internet usage. the contract was an n97 phone but i sold that for an iphone. i know connectin to wifi doesnt affect this 500mb. but how long does this allow u does anyone know. cheers

streaming video and music can quickly eat into quickly,

e.g. an low res iplayer or youtube = 300Kb per second so watching an hour stream video at low resolution = 100MB.

MP3 typically is around 5MB per song.

Highly interactive website like BBC can easily be a couple of MB just for the home page, though most sites of this type offer low resolution alternatives.

depends on sites u visit, apps u download, music, etc.

im with ya now so id be better downloading at home. i dont really download big out and about but i do download wee programs.
