Someone mentioned XenonMKV earlier today.

I've never used it but reports say it's quicker than most other convertors.

Program is fast, done a few 720P MKvs perfect.

But done 2 1080i/p converted ok but 360 said unsuported file. Dunno why Hmm.

Did 1080p of The Matrix, played fine, it split the file into three 3.3Gb segments, that kinda killed the flow of the movie.

unfortunatly the split is cause of the xbox file size limitation on anyfile other then wmv

and seems to be the fact i have no hdd space is the fact not getting the compete movie.. only getting 44 moins of an hour and half film

looks like im ordering an external drive after xmas

Format your HDD as HFS+ with MacDrive to get around the 4Gb FAT file limitation.

*cough*

4 gig is the limit for 360 hd mp4.

interesting you say, 1080p wont work on 1080i nor 1080p ..

will try Gotsent for that ..

Hmm heres me thinking HD WMV and HD MP4 were the same thing :Cool2:

1080i/p now work after spliting them to less than 4GB.

So Xenon converts MKVs to HD MP4s

Any program that can convert them to HD WMV?

is it realy worth it?
i cant see much difference between an upscaled dvd rip on the 360 and a converted 720p mkv :err:

DEFFO not an extra 4gb dowloadingness worth

aint tried a 1080p yet, but ffs they're about 10 gig

Depends on your tv i would think, i notice a good bit of diff on my sammy 42"

Lucky your not into Blueray there 35GB+ :)

Try encode360

it allows you to set the resolution including 720 and 1080 and then the format so either wmv-hd 7, 8 or 9 depending in the quality you want.

Works well but if you want a full 1080 on wmv-hd 9 it takes hours - I've a dual core 2.6 and 2GB ram and it takes about a day.
