media server

hi

my htpc died a while ago, so brought a raspberry pi for xbmc, now thats playing up!

i currently have my films/tv series on my nas (my stora)

and i have brought a samsung series 8 tv which can play files over my network.

the prob is it can't play rar files (most of my downloads are rar)

i've had a play with plex and serviio (serviio shows thumb nails of each video) both can't play rar files, but if i run xbmc on my laptop my tv can see the xbmc library and play every file.

so my question is , is there any other media servers that i can run on my laptop that will play rar files plus show thumb nails like serviio does?

can't you get your downloader to unrar after the download has been completed ?
