Software Media center with Netflix

Hi guys
After some advice here, I've got a spare computer that I want to use as a media center, and use a remote control. I was going to try windows 8, but when I try to use the App Store it tells me my resolution is too low. Is there anything else I can use? As xbmc doesn't really support it

could you post the PC specs? CPU, memory and what sort of video card at least if possible.

You can get this information using CPU-Z which is a free download
