how do i unlock my portable after it has been locked by the kids trying to get it on.the tv's type is teletext 1408 T

Hi Jondoe, unlocking 'phones, unlocking TVs
anyone got the right cable to unlock my kettle ! lol.
I haven't dealt with a TV in that way before but surely it can't be much more than removing a CMOS backup battery or a jumper reset. Or can it ?
