A man has been inundated with offers for his wife after putting her up for auction on the internet.
Andy Hoyle, 35, from Wrexham, advertised Mel, 30, on the eBay site after she suggested it as a joke while the couple were fooling about on their computer.
His advert read: "The chassis is in excellent order for the mileage, and warranty given at extra cost."
Mr Hoyle told the North Wales Daily Post he had had an "unbelievable" amount of offers.
"I started the bidding at £1," he said.
"But soon people were offering hundreds of pounds and even asking if they could exchange their own wives."
Despite being tempted by an offer of an £8,000 motorcycle, with the owner's wife thrown in, Mr Hoyle decided not to sell.
Mrs Hoyle said she was surprised by the response.
"It was hilarious, I thought it was brilliant," she said. "I was quite flattered by some of the offers."
