As I said in post 1 Martin I have done the netplwiz and the tick is removed mate :) still the same

Have you tried settings / accounts / sign in options / and change when pc wakes up / to never

I'll try that idrob :) thanks

Yes mate but I just got to it a different way

but Ive done it that way now too

Thanks :)

@Rat try this

1, click windows bottom left
2, settings
3, accounts
4, sign in options, change required sign in option to never

that's the only 2 things I did

Yeah idrob said that too
done both so will keep an eye on it :)

Thanks

I found this. You have probably tried it but I also noticed it talks about Switch to a local account first before trying to remove requirement for password.

It's for Win8 so not sure if it will work but worth a try :)

just opened laptop to be greeted with login screen :( lol

This is why I've stuck with Win7 for time being. Stable and no problems :)

If you’re talking about when you switch windows on from shutdown, then you have to sign in (no choice) but if it’s wake up from sleep (by moving your mouse) then the method below definitely does work, I’ve done it on lots of machines and its successful every time.

One that could be very useful, after you’ve signed in a few hundred times. (Only works on wake up)

If like me you’re getting fed up with having to logon every time Win 10 wakes up from Sleep or Standby

Here’s a way to prevent it:

Open Settings/Click Accounts/In the left menu click Sign-in options/Under Sign-in policies click on Never.

Job done!

I’ve just been reading there are other people having the same Issues with wakeup sign in, you are not alone

Here are 2 other methods of doing it including the one above on the tenforums

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
