liteon ihas firmware its here for you're looking

Ive been bruning newer games m8, gow3, rage, rise of nightmares.. All burned spot on.

from what i have read the first few xdg3 games did not have the extra civ checks which are located in the extra 3% that is truncated by using the old method so will fail.

sorry to ask again but i have flashed my drive checked the box in imgburn about opc am i good to burn or is there anything else i need to do

These disc's I can confirm write and verify 100%
Datawrite red tops
windata
tested myself at 4x

its best to set speed at the slowest and move up has these disc mentioned have also wrote and verified at 8x but not all the time.

aone gold write 100% but fail at 49% verify

There is a new guide that came with the firmware zip file (at the bottom is the imageburn bit)

Yeh can comfirm Aone Plus+ burn 100% but fail at 49% Verfy as well
Just ordered some Datawrite red tops will try as they are alot cheaper than verbs

yep AONE+ GOLD fail verify halfway for 360 game.

but DL movie burned / verified fine , nice clean burn with this writer / AONE + GOLD. i might try some datawrite as well :)

3 xgd2 games in a row burnt with flashed liteon , AOne gold+ discs verified (look) and play fine , perform OTC before write, 4x .. just the gd3's not happening with them.

With Aones try using Dvd-decrypter or use mediacodespeededit run it load the burnermax firmware and pick the dye type you're using then edit the ext eg: Aones are Ricohjpn D01 to Ricohjpn Da1 save then flash you're drive with the edited bin. This works for any disc types to enable 2.4x burn this will give you a better burn also use Kprobe2 to see how good the burn was, you are looking for a pi max less than 100 and a pif max less than 7 but set speed to 4x before the test.

Goldeneye-redtops@2.4x.PNG
Just burnt this has an example GoldenEye Reloaded with Datawrite Redtops edited from UMEDISC DL1 to UMEDISC Da1 at 2.4x.

I cracked it :xmas: Cheers also Formby for pointing me in the right direction ..

Writer: iHas 124b Burner Max.

Datawrite DL Printables the white ones £7.99 for 25.

Disc ID: UMEDISC-DL1-64

Image Burn settings:

OPC ON

Write Speed: 4x (I've stopped verifying now. 10 xgd3 discs burnt verified installed and played no problems).

Burn Proof OFF.

Set buffer to 72MB ...

Drive Settings set with Smart Drive 3.5.5:

Force HT: Yes, Online HT: Yes, OverSpeed: No, SmartBurn: Yes.

Maybe worth a try with A-Ones ? Personally I don't need to try to use them anymore as they're roughly the same price as Datawrite's.

make sure when you open imgburn you click on 'run as administrator'

i've been using aone gold edition, white printable discs and been getting 100% burn and 100% verification

also installed 100% to hard drive

I would have it through Sata.

What discs , Disc ID ?

If it fails verify it's not done right. ?

i can't have it thorugh the onboard sata mate, simply can't only via a sata card (an old one like a via 6421A)

here's a bit more of the log like....
