Lite on DEAD

I am facing a problem and i wish anyone could help.
while i was working on the key ectraction, i by mistake reveresed the power plug then it gave 3 ROD

i corrected it and when put it back together the dvd doesn't read.
checked the board and i can see no burnouts, when tried the dvd i realized that with an original and a Video DVD but nothing. it keeps spinning for a while and then it stops ( giving unreadable ).

i want to retrive the key afterwards i may try to repair the dvd drive.
my question is should i try to flush the MT1319L ?
would that be enough ? or is the firmware stored elsewhere.

Note: the dvd when plugged into pc or x360 it still sense it and the xbox is operating normally which i take as an indication that the controller is still sending the key.

Another thing, the dvd spins, ejects and closes fine

try taking it back to shop you bought it from saying it's faulty and ask for a replacement.

i opened it, beside they'll get me to ship it to M$ for repair.

couldn't i js take out mtk and read it via a reader then use the dump to get my key ????

If it was that easy, it wouldnt have taken 8 months to crack.....You can swap the mt1319l chip i suppose
