kien system with wierd IP in IFA

hi guys im a newbie and im tryin to flash my d box 2 with a new image. after trying serveral times and reading through numerous posts ive come to a dead end. when i llook in the settings in IFA it says that my IP is 0.0.0.202 and it has error message of

debug
boot/tftp bootstrap loader (v0.3)
debug
transmitting bootp request via broardcast
debug given up bootp/tftp boot
boot net failed
boot elfcopy failed : 16
dbox2:root>

please help guys this is driving me crazy

i have tried changing IP to 192.168.1.201 and typing boot net in the IFA but nothing happens
tried a different version of IFA but still does the same

getting kein system all the time.

i have spent a good few hours reading through lots of posts but no joy.
any help will be wicked. i know you lads have the knowledge

Check the ip address of the network card in your PC. I'm guessing it's set to 0.0.0.0.

Set it to something like 192.168.1.10 and try again.

Are connected straight to the dbox from you PC via a crossover cable? And not through a router!

Also make sure all antivirus and firewalls are shutdown and disabled, including windows XP firewall.
