I am a radio ham, not active these days had some fun during lift conditions yes I think the internet put pay to long scheds
call sign is g7 dpv just in case there are oldish hams on here

I disagree with the internet comment. Plenty of Repeates are internet linked these days, IRLP/Echolink. Was listening last week i think it was. Scouts on the air in Tatton Park via a repeater in manchester (PZ) talking to a VK.

Dont get me wrong, I do a little HF. Ive just splashed out on a new ATU and M0CVO magitenna.... works well to be honest...

I suppose a real enthusiast would have made the antenna himself.... if he had the time

Definitely quiet out there, used a couple of more times. The fact they sell for peanuts now, am going to get another setup to keep in the vehicle. Something different than listening to the radio.
