jtagging with a usb to parallel port adaptor?

Hi

Since upgrading my motherboard I haven’t needed to jtag anything but I have a pace 4010 here which I need the details of, the problem is my jtag circuit only runs of a parallel port, so I went a bought a 25 pin to usb adaptor without checking if this works.

I tried ocd commander with the usb but I can’t get anything up apart from

API 0xE1: not yet initialized (E1: 06)

Error Response from INITIALIZE: 0x03 initialize target: cable disconnected (10 : 03)

There was 15 usb to pcik from on there I went through each one. Does this adaptor not work with jtaging?

tried that one myself ages ago m8 and it never worked so i would say it dont work

Any other software or way of getting the bk number of this box?

The only way to do it is to find an old pc with a 25 pin port?

not that i know of m80 best to get an old pc imo sorry
only other one is bke but that is jtag as well
