ITUNES sync

Has anyone got any ideas, I have a 8gb nano that is synced to my PC, my problem is that for the past two weeks it will only sync about 20 songs from my library, on the PC I can play everything, the nano lets me sync any photos I want I suspect Itunes believes I am trying to install the music on a second Nano.

Is there an easy way around this without having to re-import all my music back into the Library?

I stopped using I-tunes because of this.
WinAmp allows you to manage your ipod.
Theres also a nice program called Anapod which allows you to drag and drop music, playlists, photo's etc from any ipod. Not with the Ipod Touch as far as I know.
