I can hear ohh crap it did not work because of wrong cable used.
Now from long ago flashing the old starview and kryptview one had to use the null modem cable that had the crossover wire.
Is the cable needed a null modem or straight serial cable?
Luckily i had not used that silly usb converter that caused issues either.

I was gonna use a usb to rs232 cable, will that work?
They can be temperamental but you will still need a null modem cable to attach to it.
