Hi all i'm looking for a laptop for games and music is this any good, and this is about as much as i would like to spend on a laptop.

Should be reasonable at gaming. Just don't expect to play the latest games at full res and all the pretties turned on.

ok thanks what would you say i could get for about £500 that i can play games (football manager) and have music on?

That machine should be fine for playing football manager.
By latest games I mean the likes of Bioshock, Colin Mcrae (RIP) Dirt and the up coming Crysis, all of which will be very graphically demanding.
