iv read that sly italy sd channels are starting to knock off the same way the hd channels did.and when italys hd channels went it was no time untill uk hd channels done the same .So is the finish line in sight for uk sd channels?any one hear anything about this?

An Italian mate of mine tells me SD channel do come and go they are for sure experimenting.

All Sky It SD channels are okay at the moment, my provider released this message 'After quite a lot of efforts made by our team, including our beta tester XXX and our technician, finally we have Sky Italia back on 09CD NDS card. Quality has been tested during live Serie A matches On Sky Calcio , Sky Supercalcio and Sky Sports .It`s amazing, nearly freeze free. All SD channels should be working. Primafila channels are available too but might have a bit high ecm time or might show a little instability'
