I hope someone can help, I am pulling my hair out! My laptop is hard wired via plugs to Internet. My wireless devices are working absolutely fine but when I try to do with grabit I never get above 17kb/s and then it packs up completely. I have tried system restores, rebooting modem to no effect. What else is there I could try, do I need to reformat the whole thing and start again. It was working fine a couple of weeks ago. Any help gratefully received.

I seem to have sorted it - in desperation I swapped one of the plugs and it is now dl at 300kb/s which I can live with. The Internet is also running okay again. Don't know why I didn't try the obvious to start with, live and learn I suppose. Posted just in case anyone else has similar issue - try the obvious and un-obvious!
