Internet advice needed please look in.

Need a little advice here - a friend is going away with his family to a campsite which has no wifi connections near by at all, he needs to be able to access the internet etc - I have heard about some airbus/3g cards which you slot into your laptop via pcmcia slot but unsure how or where to obtain them from does anyone have experiences in this field? or point me in the right direction thanks

I think vodafone do these datacards, I actually use my 3 mobile as a modem and connect using that (I'm on the xseries silver data package, which is 1GB of usage a month)

Technically against the t+c's using it as a modem but it works if I need to check something using my laptop and not the phone

Make sure the area in which your friend is staying is within a 3G area otherwise you will only get a 2G connection which is about as fast as a standard dial up on a PSTN line.
