My DBMG2 card was working fine until I put this months codes in (via handset).

The card is not recognised now - all I get on the non FTA channels is "insert smartcard"

If I try to put the codes in again I still get the same message in the parental codes set up menu.

Any help will be much appreciated

Normally if it says please insert card it has been ECM'd because if a dbmg is in without the month keys (say it has ran out) then it will have a black screen until the new keys have been entered via remote control

do you programme yourself or does the bloke in the pub do it ????

if you do, just reprogramme it and just insert the new monthly code (if the hex does not contain it already)

if you dont, ask dodgy guy in pub to sort it out !!!

there is a third <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> you could buy an elvis programmer for 42 quid then you would never have to bother the guy in pub again and you could learn how to extract your original card MK and PPUA and make yourself an AU card (auto update) then you would never have to enter monthly codes again <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

You can also try removing your card and putting it back in at a slight angle, as somtimes they pad chip doesn't connect! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
