I can't see it happening, isp's won't want to ban there customers and what's the point of 20mb internet if you can't download stuff.

that is exactly what i said when i first read this article.

as far as speeds go we are way behind other countries and yet in some of those other country's like america you would think the anti-piracy legislation would have taken hold by now - but it hasn't else the supply would have dropped out by now.

as for sll newsservers - that is the way to go - barely any viruses fast dl and with the newservers constantly updating their equipment and expanding there server farms enabling them to offer 200+ days retention. one must wonder how can the isp watch all the connections they supply and then decrupt those of us who use 256k ssl over 20 connections to these newsservers. its practicly impossible to police

the labour government have always been thought of as a liberal socialist type but with all these "nanny state" measures they are imposing are they not more like dictators of a fascist regime.

all that people are going to do if this comes into action are to use a hacked modem then when they are cut off they reprogram with a new mac MOST STUPID IDEA I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!

If you ever do get "Cut Off", could you simply not say somebody could be cloning your modem OR someone could be using your wireless internet, which im sure alot of home users out there are using unsecure wireless router setup's
