IBM 600e Bios Update Help Needed

hi, ive got a ibm 600e and since updating it xp, i have lost some features such as com port and sound. I need to update the bios. Problem is i dont have a floppy disk drive and my battery is dead.
Has anyone update one pf these before?
i have found a site with instructions but at the moment my laptop is too slow to follow them. Any chance some one could create an update iso for me.
There was one on this site but the site it was hosted on has shutdown.

ok ive nearly got it, but has anyone got a windows 98 or 2000 boot cd image or file

IMO the com port and sound issue are due to missing drivers not the BIOS.

nah its a common problem on these, how do i go about putting the bootdisk on a cd? or which one do i need to download. they dnt seem to be iso or ima files

something like the 'Win 98 SE OEM' would be fine.

oh yeah sorry - downloads from bootdisk.com need a floppy disk drive to extract to, and u aint got one right?!

here's a zipped file of those extracted bootdisk fles - unzip them then make them into a bootable cd...
