Hi,I believe it is all done with the aid of plugins.are you meaning live streaming of tv channels or the likes of bbc iplayer or itv player and for what country.
what channels are you after? have a look in your plugins menu but it will depend largly on the image you have as to the availability of plugins but any plugin can be installed independently if you find the one you want outside of the plugin menu.

Plugins is the way to go but some can be tricky to install depending on the image you have, on the whole OpenPLi seem to cope best.
One of the better plugins is TSmedia as it has lots of IPTV aps under 1 gui

Then there is a IPTV channel updater that basically install a list of channel to your favourets bouquets
IPTV List Updater 0.90 - Downloads - DigitalWorldz - Satellite, Cable, Console Forums
These are just a couple of the IPTV plugins available but ive recommended them because there east to install and use and compatible with most images.
Any problems just shout.
