I am having a bit of difficulty getting this to work. I cannot get the digital insanity file to open, I get a message from windows 7 that it is unable to open the file. I notice that it is an *.nfo file rather than an exe file, is there any special way to get this to open? The message from windows 7 is that the file might be corrupt or incompatible with the version of system information? I am running windows 7 Pro service pack 1.

Also, looking at the files you provided in the FTP download, there is only one file for the patch/crack, the readme.txt file indicates that this is used for both the patching and the cracking? When I did this before for Sony Vegas 10 I had a patch file and a separate keygen file. Using the patch file I navigated to the folder on the hard drive that needed patching then patched it, then, used the separate keygen file for the serial and activation codes.

Does this *.nfo file do all of this and eliminate the need for separate patch and keygen files? If I could open the *.nfo file I would probably have a clearer picture of what's going on?

Any help you can give will be most appreciated.

I just realised, my Anti Virus application prevented the keygen from being unpacked from the archive and I was assuming the nfo file was the keygen file. I have now got the keygen OK and will give it a try. I will be back later with the result.

OK, I have got the Vegas Pro 11 installed and opened up the keygen but am not clear on the precise patching method?

I clicked the patch button then selected the Vegas Pro 11 folder and clicked OK, after clicking OK, there was another box popped up asking me to select the shared plugins folder. As I was not sure about the location of this I then clicked cancel and got back to the keygen. At this point I exited the keygen without opening up Vegas and without generating the serial and activations keys.

Have I successfully patched the Vegas files or was it aborted, I read in the readme.text file that pressing cancel when patching unregisters Vegas Pro but I pressed OK for the Vegas Pro 11 folder and cancel for the shared plugins folder?


The readme.txt file is not very clear about the location of the shared plugins folder and I do not have a folder with that precise name in my Vegas 11 file structures?

I have never opened Vegas Pro 11 since I installed it so I hope I have not compromised the ability to patch it by my efforts described above?

I did see your posts mate, but been manic today, it should be a case of opening the exe and then using the serial key, and then when it's installed select register from another computer or off line, and then use the code that it generates, I'll install it tomorrow on this machine and let you know the exact process, just in from a 15 hour shift...

just had a quick look and when you open the exe, I use the serial number that it's generated, and then once the program is installed run it and it should then ask you how you want to register it, select "from another computer" (something like that) and then use the activation / authentication code.

(just hope you haven't nacked it as the serial and the registration key is paired like an algorithm. I'll check tomorrow)

(disable your net before doing anything and that way it can't go off and mess on with your installation)

I got it installed OK m8, many thanks for all of your help and the files, that KeyGen is a beauty, much better than the old process I had for Vegas Pro 10 which used two separate tools for the patch and serials.
