I have Technomate 6900 Super connected by ethernet cable to my PC (running Vista 64 bit).
My router is a Linksys WAG160N.
I reckon I'm fairly computer/network savvy - but I just don't seem to get this router to set forwarding for the port values that Card Sharing servers seem to use - eg 6000.
I've set up my Pc (through Windows) with a static IP, but don't know whether it's the IP of my Pc, or the IP of my Technomate that I should use in the Linksys port-forwarding setup page.
The instructions from the Linksys site say "type the IP address that you assigned your server"
So I've been using the IP of my PC as this address.
However - I can get port 21 (FTP) to open (checked with Open Port Check Tool) - but that's about it.
The Linksys router firewall is ON, and, of course, the Windows firewall is ON.
I'm not sure what, if any, settings to put in these.
Can anyone point me towards a solution?
