if i subscribe to sky the card that is sent befor the eng turns up does it have all the channels that i have scribed for on it, if so can i put it in another box. before the eng turns up and will it work?

a new virgin card will not have the programs already on it that you hav subscribed to. The card can be put into another box and it will 'marry' to it, but it will not update with your channels until the commands are sent by $ky.<br />The installer will put the card into the new box and expect card to update but it will not be accepted in the new box! All this means is that he will have to call to request another command, which will just delay you receiving your channels. <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

no wat i mean is i have installed sky my self but if i get it installed by them and when the eng truns up i say i did not get my card and when they send me i new one i put both cards in one in the box they gave and the the other in the one i put in (and they will knot know that it has been installed alredy when the eng turns up trust me) will the channels come on both cards?

aha.. Thats a good idea m8, but sorry to tell you they have thought of this one too. The coding on cards is that clever that it is each single card specific. The commands will apply to the exact card only and not the second card. Every card sent to you will be different even tho its the same package, at the same postcode and same tel. no. etc.<br />It is maybe worth getting the second card tho because there are developments happening which may allow slight mods to card to get something, and you wont want to damage your workin one.<br /> <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
