Help - XBMC & NAVI X for Windows Platform

I use to have Starview and when that ended I took up Sky HD, although iSky has good programs/content; I told you get more programs/content with XBMC & NAVI X and it's free.

Now I downloaded XBMC on my laptop but I don't know what to do next as the guide suggests you install another 20 odd zip files (add ons, fusion installer, repositories), I'm not sure what these things are or what they can do for my viewing needs and no sign of NAVI X.

Please can some tell what to do next or give me an idiots guide.

Download Navi x
keep as Zip
Put on usb stick
open XBMC
Goto System - Add ons - install from Zip file

I realise why NAVI X wouldn't open/work I deleted the WinRAR program, it is now installed.
What should I add on?
Like I said in my 1st Email, I don't know what all these other add ons, fusion installer, repositories are and what they can do for me, please could advise me what to add and what not to add.
