Help with LCD TV fault

Can anyone tell me what causes this?

10cm band appears on right hand side, random inputs and times.

I think its the way it is prossesing the image try a diffrent picture setting, I can somtimes see I similar thing when watching shows/films in low res on dark or black bits

That is unusual, first thoughts are screen tab issue but I would expect the band to be straight, not at an angle, can you tell me the make and model number please ?

LG, 42LD450, it's also the variant with an IPS panel

straight down, same place when is does appear.

Screen faulty mate, there are kits available to compress where the screen tabs are connected to the circuit board at the top of the screen but it won't last long and needs a complete strip down of tv and the screen surround removing.
