(Home brew in title as I think it's a same ish set up to what you guys do)
Hi , I'm in the middle of building my own souse vide water bath but as I no little about electrics I'm hoping for as much advice as possible before I kill myself :/
I have bought a cheep PID Controller from ebay , this was ment to be comparable with an ssr but after purchase and research it seams that it was a chineese nock off and I had to remove the internal mechanical relay then bridge the 12v tracks , from what I gather this will now work with an external ssr but I want clarification on the wiring if possible ?
In my head the set up will be :
Mains power to the PID then from the PID to the ssr then from the ssr to the heating element .
The PID will also have a thermocouple attached but that's straight forward .
Has anyone got experience with this sort of thing and can specify what wires go to what pins on PID and SSR ?
I can provide pics if needed.
