help please screen gone black

hi guys got a dell inspiron 530 .with windows 7 64 bit..was working fine yesterday, today i switched it on and all iget is dell logo come up on screen and then screen goes black with flashing cursor in top right hand side of screen...ive pressed f8 to see if i can boot into safe mode...seems to be doing it but its taking ages....just dis[lays list of files that have so far loaded..with message at the top saying " loading windows file"....and at the bottom "please wait"...what shud i do if i get into safe mode...got tons of stuff on the pc and dont really wanna reformat..help please..

its trying to get into system restore but taking ages see pic..

hmmm ok...now stuck on welcome screen after entering my password....sooooooooooo slow..might have to leave it at this as its doing something with the spinning thingy..lol..ill try a system restore once and if i can get into windows...might as well and go have a shave..while a wait..lol

all sorted..restore did the trick...
