Help on di1000

While waiting for someone to glitch my sammy card I have accuired a di1000 so seeing as i cant jtag it i thought i would try the volt meter method but when i got the box it had had a bit of wire soldered from one of the atty's to the battery and the leg on the atty has been pulled off.. now my soldering is good but not that good so what was it for and will it work without???????

Sure it wasn't a 10001b? The wire was a no update mod to stop it updating from cr1 to cr3. Will it work...NO!

Thought so, do i still need to stop it from updating, or just put the leg back.
And is there a tut about this (I dont really know much about paces)

U dont really need the mod now, if u are ex c&w let it update itself to the new s/w and you will get front row with a funcard or a mosc. The mods are all covered in the cable guide. And, if u can solder a leg back on then u should be a brain surgeon!!

managed to do leg will see if it works now
