I once had an evening in a Glasgow pub when England were playing some team like Lithuania.
I have never seen or felt so much hatred for anything in my life.
My colleague warned me before we went there for our meal that he had booked a table as far from the tv as possible, and that if I celebrated any England goals that I would be on my own.
We won 2-0 but I was as quiet as a mouse.

There's a house in Burnham that has 4/5 flags outside their house. Last world cup they had the opposing team flags for every match.

It's usually council estates that have this sort of thing.. Even in places like Belfast it's mostly the working class areas that fly flags the more well to do areas have no interest
