Guy's,
I am looking on the web for a new Graphics card (I currently use an ATI Radeon HD2900XT X2 - The option I have is to go for the HD4870X2, do you think I will see any major speed increases?
By the way, My PC is the following:
Q6600 Quad Processor
Arctic Freezer Cooling
Asus P5K Premium Mobo
4 Gb PC800 RAM
Ultra X3 1000W PSU
Antec P182 Case
Windows Vista 64Bit

And do you think it will fit in the case?

If you can afford it the 4870x2 is the 'leading graphics card' at this time, and nvidia's DX10.1 supporting 300 series are not expected until Q1 2009.

But the 4870's and 4870x2's have been reported as running hot, noisy anding fail to throttle back the power consumption on idle (i.e. when not gaming/performing 3d rendering).

It should fit in the case, but you may have to remove the top 3.5" drive cage.

comp will handle it fine, that is a top spec gpu, its massive and costs a lot too, worth if it you're a super hardcore gamer i guess, id still prefer nvidia tho
