Fuji amilo screen issue's

i have the above, when I switch on (XP) I get the screen up in black with the MS Windows guff,then when it goes to the desktop the screen goes tits up.
When I plug a svhs lead between the laptop and the telly lo and behold all goes well on the telly.

Any ideas anyone?

graphics card driver is the wrong one or ronnied, or trying to run it at a resolution too high for the laptops screen to handle.

My laptop screen will only run upto 1440x900 but the graphics card can output way beyond 1080p (1920x1080)

the tv output is most likely separate from the PC.

do you have an external PC monitor or VGA port on your TV. I'd hook that up and see what occurs.

Also start the laptop up in safe mode, that should use the basic driver and run in 800x600 mode.

If that doesn't display your in real trouble.
