Thought of a sharing pleasant experience, where the bad guys got what they deserve when all seems lost...
VERY long story short...bought a iPhone online through HUKD classifieds and paid by bank transfer, phone never arrived and the dude selling it stopped replying to emails and disappeared, you may think "you paid by bank transfer, not much can be done!" right?
I called the fraud department of my bank and reported the transaction, my bank contacted the guys bank's fraud department and froze his account (I assume they had enough evidence to doubt him). I also reported him to Action Fraud. After many emails and calls from him freaking out the guy paid the money back into my account.
Here is the best bit...
Last night had a call from a unknown number and it turn out that his local police station had been passed on his detail from Action Fraud and had him in custody for a interview! They wanted the email chain I had exchanged with him!
Nice to see justice being done, even if the crime was just for £98!
