ive just changed my glow plugs on my 2007 ford focus 1.8 and the first one that i took out was wet with diesel rest of them dry, could someone help me what does the wet one mean as im not mechanically minded.
No, it's something you could do yourself. They are screwed in like your glow plugs.
If you are happy with the cars performance it's something you could wait to do when you have more funds and wish to get an independent garage to do it.
One thing of note though, some cars require the injector to be coded to the car, so you may have to get a garage to do it.
I would also get all 4 replaced.
if its a tddi u can change it m8 and tdci are coded .
if the glow plug is dead then it may be wet when u removed it . easy way to check it to put the body of the glowplug on the earth of the battery and a wire to the connecter from the + side of the battery and see if its glows, if not its dead
