Flashing to HDD or USB for MultiBoot

Is there any software and guides which can help me to flash an image to my internal HD or external USB?

Currently my new image keep saying I am out of storage space as its flashed directly to the box and I would prefer if it would boot up from my HD or USB.

Why not just use the flashexpander plugin on your current image to allow you to install plugins to usb ?

wont even allow me to add any new files as it says disk space is full...

So clear some then install flashexpander and put the ones you removed back.
