Faulty 19" lcd tv

My son has a 19" tv in his room, he has gone to conect his earphone to the tv and must have pressed on the screen casuing it blled in the ocrner and a white line now appears across the screen.

Will i be able to get this repaired under warranty or is it a insurance claim?

If its under warranty then tell them it just went like that.
Im sure they will repair/replace it
