Does anyone know how to find the auctions for the ex British Gas or Water board vans. One of these would be ideal for me as im starting up as a plumber and a lot of them still have the racking installed in the back etc. I know they sell em off somewhere and somehow but ive googled my nuts off without success. Thanks

Got One

Thanks for your help guys but i got sorted today with a vauxhall combo pictures attached. Its on an 02 plate and is in fantastic nick and only done 50,000 im really please with it. One concern i do have is that its a dual fuel vehicle ie petrol/lpg i was really looking to buy a diesel fuel economy wise. Its only a 1.4 so that really shouldnt be an issue even with it being petrol. I did want to know if anyone has had any experience with running the lpg type vehicles and are there any known problems with the system. My concerns are born out of ignorance for the system and wondered if anyone could point me to any good sites or have any advice. I have been told they are fantastic economy wise as lpg is only half the price of diesel and petrol. Ive paid £2,495 and reckon i got a pretty good deal it being of low mileage and a 2002 model.

I think the gas filters can block up, and make sure you take it to vauxhall to get it serviced, but all vauxhall dealers can service them. You will have to phone and ask.

What area are you in?

Im in the north west (warrington) and ive just been googling and found some that have problematic lpg ecu's whatever that is it sounds expensive. Think ill go have a chat with a vauxhall dealer in my area and ask what they reckon of the system because it does sound great at 37.5p a liter and 3-400 miles on £20 just hope it dosent run into expensive problems eh!!

Yea your probably right and he is going to show me how to use the lpg system when i pick it up next wednesday so i guess its got to be in working order. Maybe im just looking for things to worry about, as ive already parted hands with the deposit its a little late now lol. If its goes to bollox i just run it as a petrol dont i. Oh well thanks bud ill have to go find something else to worry about. Hmmmm im sure there was a slight tear in the door mat lol.
Thanks for the quickie response
