iPhone Error 1611 when trying to restore

I have a iphone 3G here and am trying to restore the software by itunes to latest software

but it keeps coming up with 1611 error.

Has anyone got any ideas ?

ive had this error trying to go from 3.1.2 to 4.1 on my 3gs no matter what i try ive built my custon ipsw with sn0wbreeze and everytime i do it its either error 1604 or 1611 , so my only option is either try do it on a different pc or stay where i am never had any look with sn0wbreeze , so mate where are u have u a working iphone or is it stuck with black screen with white apple logo

I ended up using another mac and it updated fine.

now the issue i have is to make it work, itunes wont accept sim as the phone was locked to a network but i dont know which one.

is there hacktivation out for 3G ?

i keep getting the same errors also. i have tried it on my lappy and my pc but no joy. i dont have access to a mac any suggestions??

got it working on 3g by starting again but by telling it the phone wasnt already jailbroken. happy days

when building your ispw in sn0wbreeze there is an option at the top to activate the phone did u tick that mate
