Ive got 3 boxes (2 Thomson and 1 amstrad) and rung them up today after getting a letter. They have said they are swapping my primary box (Thomson) .

yip got my letter today too, and mine is paired to a thomson box, my card has never been in the thomson for years so how will they cut it off, do they use new pairing methods, not really upto speed with it all as its just been working.

Sky did something similar few years ago with old Thomson boxs offering free upgrades as the Thomson boxs were not really capable of running the new firmware

Why would you miss gold rush, just buy a £35.00 amazon fire stick and load kodi on it and you will getgold rush or any other tv show or movie before they are shown on sky.

Looks like the way to go then.
But my experience with them is poor picture quality.
I bought one and set it. Was disappointed and gave it to family member. It was good for movies and boxsets and so on.
Football was unwatchable.
But if it gets documentary channels I will be asking for it back. LOL.

Cant really complain with sly. Got a good run at it.
Even with full package I struggled to find something to watch.
They sure won't get my money.

You could always go for a paid plex account with VOD and iptv

I've a 2s so no cable option.
But can run IP*V in bouquets will just miss the joy of flicking through channels easily.
I have vermin broadband so might be option @jfish to look into that.

I was proactive and when I wanted a new box decided to go for the H2H knowing if satellite cs goes then I have cable as a fall back

if you search hard enough there is ones out there who have been able to get decent EPG and bouquet intergration for iptv on enigma 2

stop worrying guys this comes out every year and SD will be around for a while to come yet,There are still over 5 million SD boxes in use and sky will not replace every box

I have read that somewhere else @lescantle mate.
But still can't get yes or no answer.
It just looks like all is over on New Year's Eve in this thread.
I know nothing about cards and pairing.
