If they were going to do such a drastic shakeup of the way things operate then it would be being beta-tested somewhere now. VM dont just make these changes overnight !

Anyway, if they want to stop non official boxes there are other more simple methods they could play with.

guys.. I after reading the first post, I have been suffering from high blood pressure.. been really depressed.. doctor asked me to come off viagra straight away..

Found some more info on this.. apparently.. once this is pin thing is live, if you press blue button, the remote IR sensor takes the photo of the user. This is then identified by biometrics and a week later you would get letter through the post with £60 fine and three points on your drivers license.. pmsl..

Actually if they had the man power all they would have to do to draw up a shortlist of possible peeps with dodgy boxes would be to log traffic to this and other similar sites, many peeps who frequent sites such as this may **possibly** have an interest in this sort of thing and they would then have a first stage filter of who's premises to pay a maintenance check visit to eh?

but they can't do that for what ever reason be it legal? commercial? technical? reasons, they aren't doing this.

But I know this much.
