Electric Shock

Hi very new to this, when connecting the ariel into the box, and touching both i got a small electric shock, was wonderring if this is normal. Hope someone can shed some light on this.

why touch both just use the scart lead and the cable goes in the top slot and nothing in the bottom

and only panic when you see smoke coming from them

Normally you should not get electric shock from your ariel feed, i think you will find if you check all you add on cables ie the pieces you have added from splitter ect. you will have a short in one of them between centre core and outer (braid) perhaps just a strand or 2 this can cause a small elec shock, and play up your box aswell

Mine does that too. Wouldn't worry too much about it as the one box i have got functioning works perfectly.

I hate it when that happens, I couldnt get my box hooked up and by the time I did my whole hand was numb
