Who Got Shot...EastEnders

Ian fears for his life when crazed captor Steven threatens him with a gun. Desperate Ian makes a grab for the weapon and, as they struggle, Steven pulls the trigger!

In a dramatic cliffhanger, a shot is fired and tragedy strikes. But which character has got the bullet?

As the week begins, Jane is still reeling from the shock of Steven making a pass at her. She tells him it is time for him to move on, but he doesn't go far. Grandma Pat offers him a place to stay. Then, Lucy secretly asks Steven to help get rid of the gun Craig owned before he was arrested, unwittingly setting off a disastrous chain of events.

Late one night, Steven tells Lucy things have all gone wrong and that he needs to show her something to explain the difficult situation he is in. He leads a nervous Lucy across town to a flat in a dilapidated tower block.

Steven opens the padlocked door and he and Lucy walk in. Suddenly, a wild-eyed, bearded man lunges out of the shadows at them * it’s Ian!

“Ian’s been locked up in the flat since he was lured there by Steven!” explains Adam. “His mind has been racing all this time. He is obviously extremely worried about his family and what they must be thinking about his disappearance. “He doesn’t want to believe that Steven is capable of killing him, but he doesn’t know the lad’s intentions. Anything could happen.” While Lucy looks on in stunned disbelief, Steven reassures Ian that he has come to let him go.

Father and daughter are tearfully reunited, but when Ian tries to call the police, Steven pulls out Craig’s gun and orders Ian to drop the phone. “Ian fears for his and Lucy’s lives,” says Adam. “He negotiates with Steven and makes it possible for Lucy to get out of the room to raise the alarm. But she calls Jane, not the police.”

Frantic Jane rushes to the block of flats, where she and Ian desperately try to wrestle the gun away from Steven. Suddenly, a gunshot rings out, spelling tragedy for one of the three...
