need i little advice m8, daughters boyfriend has a gilera smt 50cc and i noticed it seems to be chucking a lot of oil out front the exhaust and its all inside the rear mudguard is this normal for a 2 stroke engine or is it running to rich.

sorry dutcho that was my mistake i ment the back of the exhaust, which is right next to the mudguard, i spoke to him yesterday and he did say he was having trouble starting it when he first got it, thats when the oil started coming out exhaust.

He will do if it's burning too much oil. You'll need to set the oil pump, I'm guessing the oil is in a different bottle as most are. Follow the cables down to the valve/pump, normally if you open the cover and twist to full throttle there should be 2 arrows that line up to show correct setting.

Again I'm guessing coz I'm not familiar with that bike mate.

Also might want to buy some caustic soda crystals, take exhaust off and pour some in, add water and stand back for a bit. It will help flush out any oil thats gathered in there ;)
