crossover cable from the pc network card to the dreambox
im using xp.pro wit sp2

Ok, internet installation is the other possibilty.
Upload Autoupdate.Key to the folder /var/keys and the nagra files to /var/scce. Press blue button, select cam reset, press ok, leave the blue panel, switch to a scrambled channel and wait some minutes for autoupdate.

ok all done....... but still all black?

Do a cam reset once more or reboot the box.

Do a key update via interner for evocamd and overwrite then Autoupdate.Key.

i did yeah it said could not get file size then said file upload ok

And which file size is displayed if you connect via ftp to the box and choose the folder /var/keys?

there is autoroll.key..22.7KB..... autoupadte.key..2.62KB

Download Keylist.txt from the box and check if there is a line for 5E01 inside.

Newcamd to work with nagracard on Dreambox 500 T

Need help getting the card to read in the Dreambox DM 500 T. If I understand right I need to use the newcamd emu with gemini from Dreambox world. I already have the 500-T running evocamd and working just need to know how to get newcamd working so I can use a card if this is possibble! Any help would be appreciated!

Install the newcamd 6.04 full package and the newcamd config files for dream 500 on your gemini image.
Open the file cardserver.cfg in the folder /var/tuxbox/config with tuxbox commander and insert a new line with the BK from your card at the end.
BOXKEY = 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88
Save the file and chose newcamd with cardserver in camd menue.
