Yes we have just bought the Samsung PS43D490 with A FREE Samsung BD-C5900 and 2 pairs of glasses £584 Plus £50 cash back and £12 in clubcard points. Sold my old tv for £250 so it was not expensive at all. We both WORK in this house and do not claim benefits so thats crap. We also pay our debts!

Give yourself a pat on the back, better still go give IANB a group hug, i'm sure you will both like that.

I bought the LG 55 inch 3D (Passive) set last week, to be honest I find the 3d content a bit gimmicky at the moment, some stuff is jaw dropping other stuff just average. I wasn't really in the market for a 3D set but I got a fantastic price match at John Lewis and Sky gave me £400 cash back for buying a 3D tv, so all in all I got a £2300 tv for around £1200.

i got one and its excellent. the ocen wonderland 3d bluray really shows what 3d is capable of, anybody who doesnt have this bluray should get it.

the lack of good content in general is disappointing though.

yes i agree with the lack of content to watch too, so few things to see in 3d is a shame.
thought there would have been more around xmas time last year but only thing was avatar if i remember rightly.
considering they want people to buy it, theres not much insentive with little to watch.
btw. ellie1998 just said hes dissapointed as theres no 3d porn hahahah xx

well it was ,we saw it on sky3d over xmas, has been on regular since.

yes i know. but the 3d content on sky 3d channel is like comparing a fiesta to a bugatti veyron, when it comes to the difference between sky 3d and 3d bluray

i got a sony 3d tv so just use my ps3 i dont really use the 3d on it tho

oh ok i dunno . we well have a bluray player with it but dont have any discs
so ive no idea of the difference. wel just hope thay bring out more 3d stuff worth watching
we convert programmes into 3d but its not that good, i did watch the f.a cup final in 3d, that was good though xx

Passive still uses glasses just not active ones.

sorry mate spot on i must not of been thinking straight when i posted that the first ones with no glasses are going to be made by LG and we should see the 1st one at the end of the year, if the rumours right.

As anyone watched boxing in 3D is that any good, cheers.

Surprised that nobody is using it for 3D gaming. I've played some 3D games on PS3 and that was amazing.

Also 3D porn is available, just don't tell eillie

Been speaking to my mate in Canada. They have had no glasses 3D available for a few months but he said the 3D effect is pretty poor and its a very narrow viewing angle at the moment. Not been doing well in the sales. Better sets should be out next year.

Not got it and probably wont get it.

I've been to the shows where they have it setup in perfect situations and I'm still not impressed.

It's being rammed down everyones throat too, they even have a 3d no glasses phone, like i want to site there watching movies on a 3" screen.

I know it's come to the point where it's rare to find a new tv that doesnt have 3d, if I have to buy one I'll just leave it switched firmly off.

When they've perfected holograms where you can step into the middle of the action, and without glasses, then i'll be impressed. :)

I have 3D set, didnt want one but worked out better to buy a 3D set but either way it was still pointless as I didnt get any glasses and cant afford to get any at the moment!

Thats exactly my predicament also. Went looking for an LED TV, came out with a 3D LED TV.

oooh ok i'll let him know hehehe i wont say it came from you .

ive saved about £650 towards one, as long as nothing important comes up first and i need to spend on that :)

just my luck, i posted this, then today had so spend £250 on suspension for the car :(

I'm in no rush for a 3d set to be honest, i think there overrated and just a fad at the minute like someone has said the novelty will wear off i hope.
