Dm800 root password

mate got a dm 800 hd from someone with a cline

its running nabilo Black Hole and noticed the channels are way old (even got Bravo as a channel)

Tried to ftp/telnet to box but seems the root password has been changed

anyway round this or do these so called supplier lock down the box by changing password and only way round is to reflash box.

1.install tuxbox commander using addons button
2. Start tuxboxcomander
3.go to in /var/etc/ and rename file passwd to passwd_
4.go to in /var/etc/ and rename file passwd- to passwd
then login in your dreambox with user root and password dreambox and that's all

thanks.. will give it a go .. I assume once I do the above, the password will be the default dreambox
