dm 500s problem

got a strange problem on 500s running Jade pli

mates box jammed after re-flashing with another jade pli and had it all up and running, remote wouldn't change channel
tried another remote and nothing and have since used both these remotes on 2 other 500s's........

thought maybe a bad flash so reflashed - nothing
then made a backup from another box - still nothing

i can change the channel remotely through lappy but far from ideal

the only thing that popped up in the flash was a jffs2 error - but flashed successfully

is the box remote sensor pumped or is there a way round this??

Definately sounds like the sensor on the box has gone but before blaming that 100%, you should try and flash with a different image like commando 14.4. If it still doesnt work then it all points to IR sensor on the box.

Have you flashed with a null modem cable??

yeah flashed with Null modem, and flash another box with the same image to test the image - all working ok,

is it possible to change the IR sensor or is the box for the bin ?

took the box apart, think its the ir sensor
anyone know of a cheap supplier??
